A workshop for front-line clinical staff, Community Stop Smoking Practitioner Training
gives the tools and knowledge to deliver up to date smoking cessation advice to clients.
After attending you will be registered with the Livewell Southwest Wellbeing Team and
ready to work with clients in your clinical setting.

Objectives/Aims of Course

To enable you to assist others to stop smoking. 

Course Programme

This course runs from 9:00 - 16:30 on Day 1 and 9:00 - 12:30 on Day 2 and runs on 2 consecutive weeks. You will be required to attend both days of the course, and will be expected to book to shadow a Stop Smoking Clinic within 2 weeks of completing the training.

Course Deliverables

On completion of this course, you will recieve a certificate of attendance.

Who Should Attend (including pre-requisites)

This course is designed for anyone working in a front-line clinical setting with the opportunity to assist people to stop smoking in or around the Plymouth area.

There is also online training available which is highly recommended and will be discussed on Day 1.
