This course is for Practitioners who are already trained in the general care of a
PEG and Medicines Mangement.

 

Objectives/Aims of Course

At the end of the study day, learners should have a better understanding of;

  • Their accountability and responsibility of administering medications via a PEG,
  • The correct use of equipment, including flushing and maintenance of tubing.
  • Safe administraion of medications involved.
  • Trouble shooting
  • Documentation and Prescription

This course will provide a Certificate for Training on Adminstration of Medicines via a PEG (Practical competencies to be completed in practice)
